ECommerce UK hosts a series of great evening sessions throughout the year, organised and presented by Martin Newman and his team at Practicology. On May 9 2013, the event focused on international expansion, and featured presentations by Dave Elston of Clarks, Bianca Mercer of Aurora, Jan Mehmet, formerly of FitFlop, and Gabrielle Hase, who presented on the intricacies of marketing to an American audience. The 2013 conference on April 18 and 19 explored everything omni – that beloved/dreaded word that means everything and nothing all at once! Speakers included Grazia’s Fashion Editor at Large Melanie Rickey, Oriole Cullen, Curator of Fashion and Textiles at the V&A Museum, Gabrielle Hase, Director of Soleberry Advisory and Nicola McClafferty, CEO and Co-Founder of Covetique.
Sheerluxe B2B Conference
The annual B2B conference hosted by online fashion directory Sheerluxe is a key event for eCommerce retailers.
Speakers in 2012 included Marketing and Ecommerce Directors from Links of London, My Wardrobe and Radley. Delegates included representatives of Laura Ashley, Jigsaw, Fortnum and Mason and many more industry heavyweights.
The conference also provided an opportunity for independent consultants including Soleberry to speak and share their experiences. Gabrielle Hase spoke on the topic of email – what’s new, what’s fresh, what needs to be top of mind. See the presentation here:
Pecha Kucha is a new seminar concept originally developed in Tokyo in 2003. Drawing its name from the Japanese for “chit chat”, the format brings together professionals to share ideas and developments within a concise 7 minute presentation format.
In November 2011 Gabrielle attended the UK group Mcommerce Pecha Kucha, run by Martin Newman of well known eCommerce consultancy Practicology. Her presentation on mobile innovation can be downloaded here, or you can watch the video of Gabrielle’s presentation plus other key speakers.
